The design for the facility introduced natural timbers and neutral colours in the external facades, blending in with the coast environment, with the natural timbers utilised as features in the interiors providing synergy between the inside and outside. The building comprises of two separate residential wings on either side of a central wing with lounge, dining and other communal facilities that open to generous landscapes.

Located in Torquay adjacent to the Kithbrooke Park Country Club, Ocean Mist Aged care is a 120 bed Aged Care facility.
