Located in a prestigious enclave in East Melbourne, the project involved a significant renovation and restoration of a two storey Victorian Terrace. The front façade including original iron work of the original dwelling were restored providing an enhanced contribution to the streetscape.
Internally, the dwelling was renovated with a design solution that aimed to be sympathetic to the history of the original house, with a more modern renovation to the additions at the rear of the dwelling. Natural light was introduced into the wet areas and the kitchen, with the use of Oak Floorboards, Japan Black veneer, Bianco Carrera marble benches and stone tiles contrast against the exposed brickwork of the existing dwelling.
